Rules and Regulation

 

The Goal of the casting board is to connect great talent to clients in the film and fashion industry. Our goal is to help the members of the site build their resumes and make connections with the people casting major roles. To do that we need your help in keeping the casting board professional and accurate. Below you will see the rules and guidelines as well as the casting board disclaimer. Please be sure to read and understand everything below. ​

 

Guidelines:

1. Only audition for jobs that you fit the description. If you fit in the age range of the job then go for it. For instance if the casting is looking for a 10 year old and you are 12 but look 10, then you can audition for it. But If the casting is looking for a 25year old female and you are a male 14 year old. Then DO NOT audition just because you want to be in the project. This infuriates a casting director and adds extra work and can get you added to a black list.

 

2. Only audition with professional materiel. All models should have a casting card/comp card and all actors should have a headshot. Do not use self shot cell phone pictures, pictures of you in a group picture or pictures that do not look like you anymore. Models should use clean pictures that show what you look like.

 

3. What do models get paid? The casting board's goal is to connect people. Some of the jobs on the casting board will pay and others will not. Most jobs pay according to your resume. The more you have on your resume the better your rate.  As your resume grows you will be able to sign with larger agencies.

 

4. Be smart about what you audition for on the casting board. The staff of the casting board confirms all the castings before we post them. But there are people that try to beat the system and take advantage of the amazing group of talent we have here at the casting board. Remember to look out for the following warning signs that a casting might not be real. REMEMBER to never send anyone money by check or money order. Castings on the casting board should not charge. TRUST your instincts. Dont go to a nonpublic location by yourself. A common casting scam is when the person says they will pay you $1,000 and you can keep $500 but needs you to write a check to the "makeup artist" and send a personal check to them . DONT DO IT!! The check they write you will not be a good check and you will be out the money.

 

5. DO NOT try and hook up friends with castings. If a casting director reports unprofessional activity, you will be banned from the site.
